A Journey Through Unforgettable Destinations
A solo traveler has shared her incredible experiences from the places she has visited, which have left a lasting impression on her. Known as @vivjewelry on social media, Sarah documents her adventures as a backpacker exploring the world. In one of her videos, she highlights some of the most remarkable locations she has seen.
None of her top choices are in Europe, and her travels have taken her to various parts of the world, from the Middle East to Mexico. At the time of the video, she had been traveling for six months and described her journey as an ongoing adventure. “I quit my job, got rid of everything I own, and now my whole life is in two backpacks,” she says.
The Enchantment of San Jose del Pacifico
One of the most unforgettable places for Sarah was a small town nestled in the mountains of Mexico called San Jose del Pacifico. She describes it as “the most whimsical” and “magical” town she can imagine. Located in the mountains, the town is vibrant with color, filled with art and murals. Importantly, there is no internet service, which allows travelers to truly disconnect from the digital world. Sarah notes that this place was one of her favorite parts of Mexico.
She also mentions that mushrooms are illegal in Mexico, but there is a unique exception in San Jose del Pacifico. “Because of indigenous traditions, it’s not illegal to use them in spiritual or ceremonial ways,” she explains.
Discovering Jordan
Next on her list was Jordan, where she explored several cities during her travels. When she first arrived, she had “no clue what to expect.” From the culture, the people, and the food to the breathtaking sights, everything amazed her. “It blew my mind,” she says.
During her week in Jordan, she visited Amman, the Wadi Rum desert, and even attended a rave in the desert, which she found completely unexpected. She also saw Petra, which she describes as “insane in itself.” Then, she traveled to Aqaba, where she swam in the Red Sea, and on the way back, she passed the Dead Sea, where she floated effortlessly like a baby.
Tamraght, Morocco: A New Favorite
Sarah also visited Tamraght in Morocco, a place she discovered on a whim after being recommended by someone in Mexico. “Guys, I want to live here. It’s got beach, good food, surfing, skating, and great people,” she shares. She feels a strong connection to the area and describes it as becoming her “comfort place.”
“I’m going to be very sad when I have to leave, but I’ll be back,” she admits.
Exploring More Hidden Gems
Beyond these destinations, Sarah’s journey has included many other unforgettable experiences. Her travels have shown her that the world is full of surprises, and each place has its own unique charm. Whether it's the cultural richness of Jordan, the artistic vibe of San Jose del Pacifico, or the laid-back energy of Tamraght, every location has contributed to her growing appreciation for solo travel.
Her story serves as an inspiration to others who are considering taking a similar path. With each new destination, she continues to discover more about herself and the world around her. As she puts it, her journey is far from over, and she looks forward to what lies ahead.
